Wisconsin congressional candidate tours Northland

SUPERIOR, Wis. — Wisconsin congressional candidate Paul Wassgren visited Superior as the Republican continues on a tour through Wisconsin’s 7th district.

The tour first hit Merrill, WI, on Dec. 10, before stopping in Chippewa Falls and Ace’s on 29th in Superior, with the final stop happening Dec. 12 in Balsam Lake, where he’ll once again speak on how he plans to make the Northland more affordable for all.

“When I talk to folks here in the Northland, we have a lot of issues about affordability, including and especially the cost of insurance, which is now the number two line item for the average Wisconsin household right after rent or the mortgage payment, and one of the things I’ll do in Washington is to help reform our legal system to bring down the cost of insurance for the average American household,” said Wassgren.

Wassgren, an Ashland native, is attempting to become the replacement for fellow Republican Tom Tiffany, who is leaving the position within the 7th district as he campaigns for state governor.
