Owner of Lutsen Lodge makes first court appearance, bail set at $500,000
GRAND MARAIS, Minn. — The owner of Lutsen Ludge made his first appearance in court following his arrest and extradition back to Minnesota.
Bryce James Campbell, who was accused of starting the fire that burned down the Lutsen lodge in 2024, made his first appearance at the Cook County Courthouse.
Campbell is being charged with three counts of first-degree arson and one count of insurance fraud.
According to court documents, his bail is set at $500,000.
Campbell was in the Oakland County (Michigan) Jail from December 3 to December 12 and is now back in Cook County.
