ICE makes arrests at Ashland restaurant
ASHLAND, Wis. – US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and US Border Patrol made two arrests at an Ashland, Wisconsin restaurant on Monday, December 15, 2025.
This all happened at Ashland Family Restaurant which is sometimes also called the “Chequamegon Family Restaurant”.
The federal agencies told the Ashland Police Department they would be taking actions in the town, but would not request any assistance.
Agents made an arrest of one person at the restaurant and left.
Federal agents then later called Ashland Police for assistance when they saw a second person walk into they restaurant that was wanted.
The federal agents called Ashland Police, “because the restaurant staff was very upset with them the first time they were there.”
An Ashland Police Sergeant accompanied them to the restaurant for the second arrest.
Ashland Police tell FOX21, “the manager was requested to open the door and the second individual was taken into custody on the federal warrant without incident.”
FOX21 has been trying to get more information on these federal actions.
US Border Patrol tells FOX21 that these were ICE-led actions and they cannot comment.
ICE has not returned any messages with a comment.
The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office was not involved in arrests.
