Strikepoint handbell ensemble rings in the holiday spirit

DULUTH, Minn. –Strikepoint is recognized as one of the world’s top handbell ensembles. The group continues to share their music globally and locally, using concerts like their annual Christmas one at First United Methodist Church to help fund their concerts across the globe. The funding, much of which comes from generous donations, means the world to the ensemble.

“Through our fundraising and through the concerts we do and the tours that we do, we are able to fund us going on these trips. And we do get there’s a lot of people who give. We have anonymous donations. We have people that give. I’m just so surprised that at the end of the day, you look at what’s going to cost for us to go places, and we’re able to make it happen,” said Derek Bromme, Director of Bells, First United Methodist Church.

The ensemble says that, in another fundraiser, they will be recording and releasing some of their music in the near future as well.
