Castle Danger rolls out “Trailblazer” THC drink amid national ban speculation

Two Harbors, Minn. — As speculation continues at the national level surrounding a potential ban of THC and CBD-based products in the future, Castle Danger, true to their name,
have decided that now is the perfect time to show the world their version of the popular beverage.

“We’re launching our new brand of THC and CBD infused drinks called ‘Trailblazer’, those are coming out in beverage and gummy form, (and) we’re doing (a) strawberry rhubarb and a key lime flavor for both the drinks and the gummies,” said the brewery’s Managing Director Tina Hegg Raway.

The new drink is a change of form for the business, who are one of the final breweries in the region to make the leap into THC products.

“What the public expects from a tap room these days is different, people expect more variety, they’re looking for more ways to celebrate,” said Hegg Raway. “There’s always someone in the party who doesn’t drink beer or doesn’t like beer or can’t have beer.”

While there’s definite concern about a potential ban on the products in the future, the brewery is planning to make the most of whatever time they’ve got with the newest member of their family.

“We’re pretty big on education at Castle Danger, so if the worst that happens is that we got to research and develop, and launch a product like this, and we get to go out to the market, and we get to get some data and some feedback, and we learn what customers thought and how it went, I’d say that even if there was a ban next year, and the worst that happened was we got a year’s worth of sales and a whole lot of learning, I’d say we’re still pretty well off,” said Hegg Raway

Castle Danger’s ‘Trailblazer Refreshers’ will officially be available on Jan. 2, with a release party at the brewery on the same day to celebrate.

Castle Danger also says that while a ban on the products would not be extremely hurtful to their business, they acknowledge what a ban could mean for other breweries, and stand with those that rely on THC infused goods for their own businesses.
