Woman stabbed to death in Sawyer County, man arrested

TOWN OF RADISSON, Wis. — A man has been arrested after a woman was stabbed to death in the Town of Radisson.

According to officials, on December 30 at 2:16 p.m., Sawyer County authorities responded to reports of a dead woman in a home.

Once on scene, they found 61-year-old Lynette D. Coaty of Radisson dead with apparent stab wounds.

During the investigation, authorities say they were able to identify a 37-year-old man as a possible suspect.

On the same day at around 4 p.m., the suspect was spotted, pulled over, and taken into custody.

The man was taken to the Sawyer County Jail and is awaiting charges of first-degree intentional homicide.

The incident remains under investigation.
