Northern Star: C.J. Ham
Now with year 10 under Ham's belt, the future of his career is up in the air.
DULUTH, Minn.- In the state of Minnesota, everyone knows who the Minnesota Vikings are.
In the city of Duluth, there’s one Viking that all Duluthians will always remember.
That player is C.J. Ham.
The former Duluth Denfeld Hunter, dominated in high school for the Hunters.
Rushing for more than 1,800 yards between his junior and senior year.
After playing college football with Augustana, Ham signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2016.
He never looked back, putting together a career to remember with Minnesota.
“The days are long, but the years are short. You know, I was just standing over there and I said, “just like that, the season is over.” It goes by fast. But when you cherish the moments especially with the people in this locker room it’s worth it,” said Ham.
During his career, the Fullback was named to two Pro Bowls and was a 4-time captain for the Vikings.
Now with year 10 under Ham’s belt, the future of his career is up in the air.
Meaning Sunday’s game against the Packers could’ve been his final game with the Vikings.
“As we go into the next thing, the offseason, we will take some time as a family and just think, and just be present, we’ll make some official things official in the offseason,” said Ham.
If Sunday’s game was Ham’s final one with the Purple and Gold.
Ham will always cherish his football journey with the Vikings.
“I’m just extremely grateful, I am sure I will reflect even more in time to come. But just right now, taking it all in and enjoying this time being with my teammates and family,” said Ham. “I am just thankful that I can have an impact, everybody in this locker room has had an unbelievable impact on me.”
