Super One Foods presents over $162,000 to The Salvation Army

Super One

DULUTH, Minn.– On Wednesday, Super One Foods presented The Salvation Army with two check donations.

During the Christmas season Miners Inc. conducted its annual register campaign across Super One’s 45 locations.

Shoppers could donate by rounding up during checkout, this season raising over $112,000.

Through Miner’s Match, an additional check of $50,000 was presented to The Salvation Army.

“The Miner’s match and the roundup essentially go into the general fund. Not all of it comes to us, a lot of it goes back into the communities which it was raised in. But it does go to the general fund and that goes to supplement any of our programs that run at a deficit all year,” Cyndi Lewis, Duluth Salvation Army Community Engagement Director said.

Super One has been a long standing supporter of The Salvation Army, and focuses on giving back to the community and those in need.

“We’ve been strong supporters of Salvation Army for decades. And every year we do a campaign. It started out with, supporting them with the bell ringers, and then we added campaign to our credit card pin pads here just several years ago,” Patrick Miner, Miners Inc. President & CEO said.

The Salvation Army’s programs and services in Duluth assist individuals and families facing hardship, helping thousands of people each year.
