“Food for Thought” takes over Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College
CLOQUET, Minn. — Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College once again hosted their annual “Food for Thought” fundraiser, bringing community members together to support local higher education.
The tasting event welcomed in the community to taste various foods and drinks that were donated by Twin Ports businesses.
For $30 a ticket, the guests were treated to “all-you-can-eat food”, plus access to raffles, all of which benefited the school’s foundation, and helps keep college affordable for its students.
“The foundation, in the last 10 years, has been able to give out over $300,000 in scholarships to 262 of our students,” Kate Mason, the board chair for the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Foundation.
“That can be a life-changing donation and scholarship, and this is what makes that happen.”
The fundraiser has been gaining traction in the Twin Ports in recent years, with Northland staples like Oasis Del Norte now offering their food during the evening.
