Loll Designs surpasses $100K in donations to Chester Bowl with check presentation

DULUTH, Minn. — Chester Bowl received a large donation, in the form of thousands of dollars from a local furniture company.

Loll Designs donated the check of over $9,000 to Chester, as part of a six-year donation cycle from the furniture company, which surpassed $100,000 in 2025.

The continued support from Loll has helped Chester get the point of renovating their chalet in 2026, and has been a match made in heaven for both.

“It was just a really wonderful fit for not just us in Duluth as a community, but with Chester, our employees have had the ability to come out here with their kids, ski, do other things all summer long, so for us, it just was a very natural fit,” said Loll’s Senior Marketing Coordinator Katie Lindow, a sentiment echoed by those with Chester Bowl.

“Their support has enabled us to get through the planning phase for the project, apply for and receive a state grant that needed a match, and get to the point where we are today, which is ready to build in April, to expand and renovate the chalet,” said Chester’s Executive Director Dave Schaeffer.

The chalet project is projected to begin in Apr. 2026, though Chester Bowl is still looking for donations on their website, in order to help get the project to the finish line.
