Local Business and Police Team Up for Diaper Donation

Contributing to a Diaper Drive at Chum Food Shelf

The diaper drive at Chum Food Shelf is getting a nice sized donation from a local business.

Mike Letica, Operations Manager for Super America stores, and the Duluth Police Department are continuing their partnership for this contribution to the diaper drive at Chum.

Letica and officers from the Duluth Police Dept. purchased around 100 cases of diapers, and Target contributed a portion of the donation as well.

Another portion of the donation comes from money collected at Super America stores around the area.

“We put up donation jars at our stores and we tell the community – our customers – what organization we’re helping fund for that current month. So when a company like Target comes along, and they give us a hand, it’s just that many more items we can get,” Letica said.

The donation also included some baby powder and wipes to go along with the diapers.
