Wilderness Alum Janis Jaks to Play for Team Latvia at Winter Olympics

Jaks is still in the top 10 for goals, assists, and points for Wilderness defensemen.

CLOQUET, Minn.- A former Wilderness standout will hit the ice for Latvia in the upcoming Winter Olympics.

Janis Jaks is gearing up for his 2nd straight Olympics.

Jaks played a total of two seasons for the Wilderness, ranging from 2014 to 2016.

He’s still in the top 10 for goals, assists, and points for Wilderness defensemen.

Since his time with the Cloquet club, Jaks went on to play professionally and is currently with a team in Czechia.

Latvia opens up it’s Olympic schedule versus Team USA on February 12th.
