UWS Men’s & Women’s Hoops Split UMAC Doubleheader with Crown

Both teams will next be in action on Saturday at home against North Central.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- It was a night of different results for the UW-Superior men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Playing Crown College in a UMAC doubleheader, the Yellowjacket women began the night with a 74-47 victory.

Hope Carlson led UWS with 12 points in the win.

Following that contest, the Yellowjacket men rallied but fell short against the Polars 72 to 65.

Nick Nordaune had a team-leading 20 points.

Both teams will next be in action on Saturday at home against North Central. The women tip-off at 3:30 PM and the men will follow at 4:45 PM.
