Chester Bowl kicks off Alpine Race series

DULUTH, Minn. — The Chester Bowl Improvement Club kicked off its first Alpine Race the winter season.

Today’s race is the first of 5 races in the series designed to give kids ages 3 to 16 a fun introduction to the sport. The event consisted of three beginner-friendly races, trophies for every participant, and free waxing. Chester Bowl Staff say that these races are possible thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors like Continental Ski, Bike, Park Dental, and more.

“It’s really important, especially in the winter, as people kind of start to source into their home and cuddle up, to really get outside and keep staying active and find joy in the winter season, when it’s so cold and we want to do nothing,” said Delaney Kreager, programs manager for Chester Bowl.
