#10 UMD Women’s Hockey Returns Home to Battle Bemidji State

UMD has won their last 19 matchups against Bemidji State.

DULUTH, Minn.- Like the men’s team, the UMD women’s hockey team will also be at home this weekend, facing Bemidji State.

It’s been a one-sided affair in recent years with the Bulldogs winning their last 19 matchups against the Beavers.

That includes a series sweep back in December where UMD outscored Bemidji 8 to 1 in both games.

Head Coach Laura Schuler isn’t reading too much into the past as the Beavers are much improved.

“They just went 1-1 against Mankato. That always seems to be what it is in the WCHA, anybody can take any game. We have to be ready to play the best game that we can play this weekend,” said Schuler.

“It’s no brainer we kind of gotten ourselves in a little of a pickle here. But, it’s all about how we’re going to respond now. I think our group is hungry. We’re ready to prove ourselves still,” added forward Mary Kate O’Brien.

The Bulldogs are vying for their 2nd regulation win in the 2nd half of the season.

Puck drop of game one is Friday at 3:02 PM.
