Duluth Northern Stars Earn First Playoff Win Since 2013, Taking Down Anoka in 7AA Quarterfinal Round

Duluth will face the defending Section 7AA champions in the semifinals, taking on Andover. 

DULUTH, Minn.- It’s been three seasons since the Duluth Northern Stars hosted a Section 7AA playoff game at the Heritage Center.

On Thursday, that all changed as they welcomed in Anoka for a quarterfinal matchup.

It was a night to remember for the Northern Stars, as they earned their first playoff win since the 2012-13 season, taking down Anoka 7-0.

Duluth will face the defending Section 7AA champions in the semifinals, taking on Andover.

The Northern Stars semifinal matchup against Andover is on Saturday, February 7th, at noon.

In other Section 7AA scores, Grand Rapids-Greenway took down Blaine 3-2 to advance to the semifinals, where they will face Forest Lake.

Game time is at noon on Saturday, February 7th.
