Ely Boys Place 3rd, Duluth East Girls Place 4th at MSHSL State Ski Meet

Champions were crowned for both boys and girls in the classic pursuit on Thursday.

BIWABIK, Minn.- Thursday marked the 3rd and final day of the MSHSL state ski meet.

Champions were crowned for both boys and girls in the classic pursuit.

We begin on the boys side where two Ely standouts cracked the top 20.

They are Aksel Skustad, who placed 15th with a combined time of 28:45:3.

Four spots behind him was teammate Wyatt Devine. He finished at 29:04:5.

As for the girls, just one local in the top 20.

It’s Duluth East’s Sasha Wahman, who finishes 16th with a time of 34:05.

Overall, the Ely boys placed 3rd and the Duluth East girls placed 4th.
