Iron Range Man accused of having sex with young teen after meeting on Snapchat

TWO HARBORS, Minn. – Tyler Edmundson, 22, of Virginia, Minnesota is accused of having sexual contact with a young teen that he met on Snapchat.
Charging documents accuse Edmundson of driving to meet the girl and her friend in Lake County. In October 2025 Edmundson allegedly drove the three to Duluth and back. The friend was then dropped-off at their home. Documents say Edmundson then drove the victim to a parking lot where they had sexual contact.
A few weeks after the first meeting a similar situation happened where Edmundson allegedly meet the two and again drove to Duluth and back. Edmundson then allegedly dropped off the friend. Then Edmundson is accused of driving to and unknown area to park. They allegedly had sexual contact again.
A short time after the second incident, the events were reported to law enforcement.
In mid-January 2026, investigators interviewed Edmundson where he admitted that he talked to the victim and the victim’s friend. He said he did not know the ages of either one.
The charging documents said Edmundson told investigators that three did go “sightseeing” two times. When investigators asked Edmundson if they did anything beyond sightseeing, documents say Edmundson stood-up, shook the investigator’s hand and left the interview room. About one month later Edmudson was arrested and charged with two counts of
Investigators were able to getting a warrant allowing them to track Edmundson movements with his cellphone – Confirming his movements matched the victim’s story.
Edmundson has his bail hearing on February 17, 2026 where he was given the option to post bail or bond of $250,000 with no conditions or a reduced amount with certain conditions.
He is scheduled to be back in court on March 2.
