#10 UMD Women’s Hockey to Close Out Regular Season at #3 Minnesota

The Bulldogs last win in Minneapolis came in March of 2022.

DULUTH, Minn.- The 10th ranked UMD women’s hockey team has one last series remaining in the regular season.

That series just so happens to be against the 3rd ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The Bulldogs have dropped their last seven meetings against Minnesota, which included a series earlier this season in October.

This time around, UMD will see some different faces on the other end as a few members of the Gophers are playing for Team USA at the Winter Olympics.

Head Coach Laura Schuler says she feels Minnesota will bring the same intensity they always do.

“I mean, they’re still electric, they still have such quality good players. I thought we played them really close, the last time we played them with Abbey Murphy. So, I think this time around it’s going to be that same back and forth game,” said Schuler.

The Bulldogs last win in Minneapolis came in March of 2022. Puck drop of game one is Friday at 6 PM.
