Duluth and Superior soccer clubs entering strategic management agreements
DULUTH, Minn. & SUPERIOR, Wis. – Duluth FC and Superior City FC are announcing new strategic management agreements with Northland Sports Management.
They point out “this is not a merger.”
Duluth FC and Superior City FC will remain distinct, independent clubs, each retaining its own governance, competitive pathways, and brand identity – preserving their full independence.
They will now share professionalized management, strategic alignment, and operational efficiency.
Kaden Bergman Northland Sports Management’s Managing Partner said, “This structure represents the best of both worlds… It protects the identity and legacy of each organization while unlocking the benefits of shared expertise, resources, and long-term vision.”
Northland Sports Management will focus on sponsorship development, marketing, media, partnerships, and game-day operations. This then allows the clubs to focus on performance and player development.
Duluth FC is owned by Alex Guiliani and John Shuster and is one of the most successful and recognizable semi-professional soccer clubs in the Midwest.
Superior City FC is a nonprofit soccer organization operating semi‑professional men’s and women’s teams, as well as an amateur men’s team.
