Super America gets boys basketball team to state
The owner of Super America is getting a young boys basketball team to their state tournament.
It is the first time that a 5th-6th grade Duluth team has made it to state in a long time. The team was excited to go undefeated this season and find out they would go to state but many wondered if they would be able to afford to go all the way to the cities to play.
Mike Letica, owner of Super America, sponsored the team and will pay for all of the teams expenses. He will pay for their gas, hotel and all of their food. Today, the boys got to go on a shopping spree for food at the store.
Letica said “I wish I had this opportunity. They should only have excitement and not worry about if they can go or having to ration their candy or whatever.”
