#9 UMD Men’s Hockey Closing Out Regular Season with Home Series Against Colorado College
In the last 10 meetings between the two teams, UMD has gone 4-5-1.
DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team has just one regular season series to go.
The Bulldogs will face the Tigers of Colorado College this upcoming weekend for the 2nd time in the 2025-2026 season.
In the last meeting in November, the two teams split with UMD taking game one, 4 to 2 and Colorado College taking game two, 2 to 1.
The Bulldogs are virtually locked into the 4th spot for the upcoming NCHC tournament but head coach Scott Sandelin doesn’t want his team to be complacent leading up to their battle with the Tigers.
“They’re a team that doesn’t give you a lot in the neutral. It’s going to be a little bit of a challenge. They’re good in the offensive zone, they generate a lot of opportunities. They’re playing to move up in the standings and finish the year strong with some confidence and we need these games too, to hopefully get on a little bit of a run but more importantly going into the playoffs. You want to be feeling good about your game,” said Sandelin.
In the last 10 meetings between the two teams, UMD has gone 4-5-1. They’ll try to even things up Friday at 7:07 PM.
