Man with knife arrested after robbery at Duluth Ace Hardware
DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth police arrested a man Wednesday who they said robbed the Ace Hardware on East Superior Street.
The call for help came in around 11 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a man who shoplifted at the Ace Hardware on 1301 E. Superior Street and brandished a knife at the employees.
The man then fled the scene on a bike.
Officers said they found the suspect, a 22-year-old man, a short time later in the 300 block of East 1st Street.
The man was uncooperative toward officers, and a knife and fentanyl were found on him, according to police.
Officials say he was then arrested on pending charges of 1st degree robbery, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, fleeing on Foot, and Felony 5th Degree Possession of Controlled Substances.
