Downtown Duluth snow clearing scheduled
DULUTH, Minn. – City of Duluth street maintenance crews will be removing snow from right-of-ways in the downtown business district on Thursday, February 26 and Friday, February 27, 2026. Snow removal operations will generally occur from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
Some people call the clearing process “the snow train.”
No parking signs will be posted in the area ahead of the snow removal. Parking will not be allowed in those areas during those times.
The first section they will tackle is between 6th Avenue West and Lake Avenue. They will continue east of Lake Avenue.
Any vehicle parked in the area where snow removal is taking place will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.
Pedestrians are asked to keep their distance from the operations to ensure safety of both the public and workers.
Snow is being removed to improve sightlines and public safety.
