DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD women’s hockey team aimed to punch its ticket to the WCHA Final Face-off, taking on MSU-Mankato in game two of their best-of-three series.

After ending regulation tied 1-1, the Mavericks found the back of the net in double overtime to secure a 2-1 win.

Whitney Tuttle scored both goals for the Mavericks.

With a game two win for MSU-Mankato, the Bulldogs and the Mavericks will face off on Sunday, March 1st, with the winner advancing to the second round of the WCHA playoffs.
