Superior Girls Hockey Punches Ticket to WIAA State Tournament with 7-0 Victory Over Northland Pines

The Spartans will face River Falls/Baldwin-Woodville/St. Croix Central in the state semifinal game. 

HAYWARD, Wis.- On Saturday, the Superior girls hockey team took on Northland Pines in the Division I WIAA Sectional Championship game with a trip to the state tournament on the line.

The Spartans rolled past Northland Pines, earning a 7-0 win to secure the 2026 sectional championship title.

With a win over the Eagles, Superior punched its ticket to the WIAA State Tournament for the first time since the 2023 season.

The Spartans will face River Falls/Baldwin-Woodville/St. Croix Central in the state semifinal game.

Puck drop is on Thursday, March 5th, at 7:30 p.m.
