UMD Men’s Basketball Secures Spot in NSIC Finals, UMD Women Eliminated in Semifinals

UMD will next face St. Cloud State on Tuesday at 7 PM.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The UMD men’s basketball team will get the chance to play for an automatic berth in the upcoming NCAA tournament.

On Monday, the Bulldogs defeated Augustana 72 to 62 to advance to the NSIC championship game.

Noah Paulson had a team-leading 14 points.

UMD will next face St. Cloud State on Tuesday at 7 PM.

As for the Bulldog women, their title hopes were dashed on Monday as they fell to Concordia-St. Paul, 81 to 65 in the NSIC semifinals.

Myra Moorjani had 25 points in the loss.

The UMD women will wait and see if they earn an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament on Sunday.
