No charges filled in fatal 2025 Carlton County crash

THOMSON TWSP, Minn. — No charges will be filed in a fatal crash in Thomson Township.

The 2-car accident claimed the lives of two people on the morning of Dec. 26, 2025

The occupants of a Chevy Impala, Anthony and Tammy Drake of Oronoco, MN, died at the scene of the crash. They were both 57 years old.

The occupants of the other car, a 32-year-old male from Thomson and a 1-year-old, were taken to Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet to receive treatment.

Officials say after a full review of the incident by the Carlton County Attorney’s Office, it has been determined that no criminal charges will be filed in connection with the crash.
