City of Duluth celebrates 156th birthday with the community
DULUTH, Minn.– The City of Duluth is celebrating its 156th birthday, at the rotunda in city hall.
It featured the Lyric Opera of the North group, putting on a show for community members.
The gathering was complete with cake, and cupcakes.
Duluth mayor Roger Reinert said, he’s hoping it will become a city tradition.
“We’ve never really celebrated the city’s birthday before, but it’s fun opportunity to get people together in the rotunda have a little birthday cake,” said Mayor Reinert.
The celebration is set to continue Friday night, by lighting the lift bridge green and blue to highlight the milestone.
