Decaying dock in canal park

Over the past couple decades, Canal Park bridges and walkways have started to decay.

Visible changes can be seen in the sidewalks and pathways.

Sinkholes have slowly formed and the sidewalks have cracked because of them.

Local business owners hope to receive money so that repairs can be made that will attach all of their popular locations.

“I met with city officials in 2012, there was a plan drawn up but for some reason it got scrapped so since 2012 no one has talked about the problem or done anything,”said  Justin Steinbach, owner of Vista Fleet.

To fix the problems would cost anywhere between $10-$15 million.
