2016 Is Nathan's 3rd Year Competing In The Race

The Iditarod kicks off Saturday, and four time Beargrease Champ Nathan Schroder competes for gold in the Alaska.

Heading to Alaska is nothing new for the musher, in 20-14 he won Rookie Of The Year at the event. Nathan has been training for the race since winning this year’s Beargrease. Representatives of The Beargrease Race are eagerly keeping there eyes towards the north. 

“The fact that it’s our hometown guy out there and has a fantastic showing and now this year here,”  Director Of Beargrease, Jason Rice said.

Saturday, Nathan took a break from the race send-off celebration to chat with us. and said he hopes to place in the top ten this year. we will have a special report on Nathan tomorrow on our Sunday broadcast at 9.
