Inspirational Speaker That Is 100% Deaf

Matt Hamill, a mixed martial artist for the UFC brought his motivational message to the College of St. Scholastica.

Hammill who is 100 percent deaf was a 3 time NCAA D III National Champion in wrestling.

He says his disability makes fighting harder.

“The down fall, I would never hear the coach in the corner. Matt, Matt keep your hands up. Take him down, upper cut. I would never hear the coach’s corner,” Says Hamill.

Hamill’s story was told in the 2010 film The Hammer.
