Two Harbors 7th Ave/Hwy 61 Getting Face Lift

Resurfacing Project To Start Spring Of 2018

Two Harbors, Minn

Two Harbors will be getting a face lift during the summer of 2018.

Construction along 7th ave (Hwy 61) will make things easier for the locals and those passing through.

Currently the three lights that are along 7th Ave (Hwy 61) are the oldest set of lights in the area.

By replacing the lights and adding left hand turns the summer congestion will come to a halt.

“There’s a traffic congestion problem especially when you’re coming south on a Sunday during the summer. The new signals will work together better, the left turn pockets will allow traffic that wants to turn to get out of the through traffic and allow vehicles to pass through each green light,” Says MDOT Project Manager Derek Fredrickson.

The project is set to start in the spring of 2018 and be finished by the end of summer 2018.
