Section of Lakewalk to Temporarily Close for Utility Project

DULUTH, Minn. – The City of Duluth is planning utility work along the Lakewalk Trail in Canal Park, specifically the segment located between the restroom facilities by Endion Station and the Fitger’s Complex.

The Lakewalk Trail will be closed for two weeks beginning on Monday, March 13 in order for crews to work on the underground drainage system. Lakewalk users will be detoured up into the Lake Place Park and then reconnect back to the trail.

Progress on the project is dependent on weather, as well as wind conditions. Crews will be working during the day, and the Lakewalk will reopen for the evening hours and weekend access.
