Gov. Dayton Appalled by Offensive License Plate Issued in Minnesota

Governor Dayton has responded to what he calls an offensive plate issued by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

The plate reads “FMUSLMS”.

Dayton learned of the license plate on Monday and demanded the Department of Public Safety to revoke and take possession of the plates.  The governor says the agency will re-review agency procedures to ensure it does not happen again.

“I am appalled that this license plate was issued by the State of Minnesota. It is offensive, and the person who requested it should be ashamed.  That prejudice has no place in Minnesota,” said Governor Dayton.
