Wetterling Person of Interest pleads Not guilty to Child Porn Charges

The man who authorities have called a ‘person of interest’ in the disappearance of Jacob Wetterling has pleaded not guilty to several federal child pornography charges.

52-year-old Danny Heinrich appeared in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis on Monday.

He was indicted late last year on 25 counts of possessing and receiving child porn.

During a search of Heinrich’s home, police recovered nineteen 3-ring binders full of pornographic images of young boys, and VHS tapes showing hours of boys playing on playgrounds or riding bikes.

Authorities found the images while investigating Jacob’s disappearance.

Heinrich has not been charged in Jacob’s abduction, and has denied any involvement in his disappearance.
