Tenants Held a Meeting with Police Representative to Discuss Issues
DULUTH, Minn. – Some residents At Downtown Duluth’s Tri–Towers Apartments are scared Because of recent trouble in and around the complex. However, Duluth police say some incidents are exaggerated.
Those were the messages at a meeting between some concerned Tri–Towers tenants and Housing and Redevelopment Authority Community Officer Steve Ring Tuesday.
The meeting was inspired by a weekend incident Where some tenants believed a man was stabbed in one of the buildings.
Officer Ring listened to concerns for a little more than 90 minutes and says reports from tenants are still key yo keeping the building as safe as possible.
“We really value the opinions of the tenants and their concerns,” said Officer Ring. “Any information they have for us, we’re very happy to receive and act on.”
One concerned resident appreciated Officer Ring’s visit and says HRA should do more to help police.
“We would like to get more security here,” said Delores Williams-Tucker. “It’s not up to us residents to try to keep people out of here.”
