Recount Set for Superior’s 6th District City Council Race

Tylor Elm lost to incumbent Graham Garfield by just one vote

SUPERIOR, Wis. – A tight race for the Superior City Council District 6 seat after spring elections took place Tuesday.

Tylor Elm and incumbent Graham Garfield squared off in the race for District 6, and with unofficial results having Garfield winning by a single vote 142 to 141, a recount request has been made.

Elm verbally requested a recount, and will need to file a petition after the Canvass Board meets on Thursday, April 6 at 2 p.m.

Once the petition is filed, a recount will take place next Monday at the County Government Building.
