Part of MSP Airport Terminal 1 Evacuated Over Unattended Bag

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) – A section of the mall area of Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport’s Terminal 1 was evacuated at about 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon after airport police received a report of an unattended bag.

The bag was located at the Stone Arch restaurant, which is locate din the airport mall near a security checkpoint. Airport police contacted the Bloomington bomb squad, which is procedure.

For now, travelers inside are being rerouted to walk around the area. No flights were impacted.

The roadways in and out of the airport are open and travelers can exit the airport. The south end baggage claim was closed while the north end remained open.
