Police Make Another Heroin Bust in Duluth
Two people have been arrested and charged in connection to a drug bust in Duluth on Wednesday.
The Duluth Police Department along with the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 200 block of West 3rd Street Wednesday night.
During their search, they seized 15.4 grams of heroin (some packaged for sale and some in bulk), packaging material, scales and a large amount of cash.
26-year-old Amberley Constance Sargent jumped out of a window in an attempt to avoid being arrested.
31-year-old Robert Johnson, of Rochester, had lacerations to his hands from busting out the window.
Johnson and Sargent were both arrested and charged with Aiding and Abetting First Degree Controlled Substance Crime.
Johnson has a lengthy criminal history including multiple drug convictions, giving a false name to police and assault charges.
