Fargo Officer Shot, Not Expected to Survive

A North Dakota Police Officer shot in the line of duty is not expected to survive.

The officer was responding to a domestic violence incident when he was shot.

Fargo’s Police Chief said 33-year-old Jason Moszer has a wound that is “non-survivable”.

Authorities say the shooter called 911 himself to tell police that neighboring homes should be evacuated.

When police arrived, he shot at them.

A stand-off ensued, with the man shooting repeatedly out of the house.

Police say the shooter had multiple long guns.

Authorities say the suspect in the shooting was found shot to death in the home where he barricaded himself for nearly 11 hours.

A SWAT team entered the home early Thursday morning and found the man’s body.

Police say they don’t know if the suspect was hit in an exchange of gunfire or if he shot himself.

The suspect’s name has not yet been released.
