Two Juveniles Confess to Playground Fire

Juveniles Will Attend Class to Avoid Future Fire Starting Behavior

DULUTH, Minn.-Two juveniles have confessed to starting the fire and vandalizing the playground at Bay View Elementary School in the early hours of April 15.

Both juveniles have agreed to attend the Duluth Fire Department FIRST (fire intervention referral safety team) class.
Those classes provide educational intervention to ward off future fire-starting behavior for young people prone to that.
Reports have also been sent to the St. Louis County Juvenile Attorney’s Office, as future charges are possible.
