Artist Diagnosed With Cancer Stays Connected to Community Through Art

The Necklace is Available at Art in the Alley

DULUTH, Minn.- Tami LaPole Edmunds, Owner of Art in the Alley, was diagnosed with Lymphoma 6 weeks ago. Since her Diagnoses, Edmunds has started chemotherapy, and isn’t able to work at her store, where she used to work 7 days a week. But that doesn’t stop her from continuing to pursue her Passion. Edmunds now makes handmade necklaces called “Tami Love” from her home.  The Necklaces are a way for her to wish abundant health for those who wear it, and when people wear it, she says she is supported in return.

“This is how I will continue to have purpose in my life, as an artist, and it’s how I can connect to my stores,” said Edmunds.

Edmunds hopes people will continue to shop locally while she is away. There are also postcards at Art in the Alley where those who wish can write Edmunds an encouraging message.
