Paddling Club Takes to the Water in Superior

Every Week Club Members Get Together to Practice Dragon Boat Paddling

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Dragon Boat Festival isn’t showing signs of disinterest.

The group Blue Water Paddling meets every week on Barker’s Island to get their paddling on and practice for the Dragon Boat Festival in August.

The group is always looking for new members and is open to people of all ages and skill levels.

“This is my third season and I knew nothing about it when I started,” says club member Linnea Lebens. “I had done some kayaking but that was it and I just really like it. The community’s really great. Everyone’s very supportive and encouraging and it’s just fun.”
