Volunteers Paint Game Room at Duluth Boys and Girls Club

DULUTH, Minn. —

The game room at the Lincoln Park Boys and Girls Club is getting a spiffy makeover thanks to some hard-working volunteers.

A team of volunteers came to the Duluth Boys and Girls Club branch to update the color scheme and breathe new life to this old gymnasium.

The new colors will match the organization’s logo.

It’s part of a national volunteering effort from the Sherwin-Williams Corporation.

The company’s Minnesota district manager says they’ve had a long-lasting relationship with the Boys and Girls Club, so this project was an easy one to take on.

The volunteers say they are excited to think about how the kids will react when they see the new makeover for their game room.

“They’re going to feel like – hey – this is a place where you truly want to be,” said District Manager Derek Young.  “You want to spend time here; you want to invest in this mission.”

The volunteers are from all over the Minnesota region.

Sherwin-Williams donated all the paint and supplies for the project.
