Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce CEO Leaving

SUPERIOR, Wis. – Superior-Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce CEO and president, has announced he will be leaving the chamber.

David Minor has served as the Chamber’s president since 1996, and has announced he will join the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce in July.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with the Superior community,” Minor said in a written statement. “I’ve lived in Superior for all but 10 years of my life and have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience with the Chamber as President and CEO. Serving as the president and CEO of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of commerce is an exciting opportunity and I’m ready to start the next chapter of my career. I would like to sincerely thank the Superior-Douglas County Area Chamber’s Board of Directors, members, volunteers, and staff for the opportunity to work with you.”

“The Chamber board wishes Dave well in this new endeavor and we appreciate the opportunity to have worked with him as our Chamber president and CEO,” stated Charlie Place, Board Chair of the Superior-Douglas County Chamber. “On a personal note, I will miss his positive attitude, his always upbeat disposition, his passion for the job, and his love of Superior and Douglas County. His leadership will be greatly missed.”

Minor will proceed Bob McCoy as president and CEO, who is retiring after joining in 1994.
