Couple Found Dead in Camper

Authorities Believe Cabon Monoxoide Poisoning was to Blame

BROOKSTON, Minn. – A Cloquet couple Was found dead Saturday morning, apparent victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.

St. Louis County Sheriffs found 67 year old Richard Smith and 65 year old Pamela Smith unresponsive inside their camper near Brookston, Minn.

Investigators say an improperly placed generator in an unvented storage space below the camper’s living area is likely to blame.

The camper had a CO detector which went off.
