New Hardwood Floors Discovered at Glensheen

DULUTH, Minn.-Some new discoveries have been unveiled at Glensheen Mansion just in time for the tourism season.

Today Glensheen showed off some of the original hardwood floors in the basement after some of the carpet was ripped up.

Earlier this spring, some stenciling was unveiled, which the staff didn’t know about until restorations went forward at the historic site.

“We’re just bringing back the past,” said Dan Hartman, director at Glensheen.
