Peregrine Falcons Banded at Minnesota Power Facility
DULUTH, Minn.-Three peregrine falcon chicks were banded at Minnesota Power’s Hibbard Renewal Energy Center in Duluth yesterday.
Members of the Raptor Resource Project helped band the birds.
Ninety-five falcons have been banded at two different Minnesota Power energy center plants since 1993.
Each site has nest box where the falcons can be found.
The banding is done to keep the peregrine’s population strong.
