Local Businesses Prepare for Grandma’s Weekend
Black List Ales is Screening The Race Live
DULUTH, Minn.- Grandma’s Marathon is Saturday, and it’s not just runners who are preparing for the day. Businesses in Duluth are getting ready to celebrate the annual event with the rest of the community.
This year will be the first Grandma’s Marathon for Black List Artisan Ales, and they have some big plans for the weekend.
The brewery, which is right on the route of the marathon, is hoping to be a community hub for the weekend. Though the brewery doesn’t have their own kitchen, they are partnering with other local businesses like How Sweet It Is Cakes, Old World’s Meats, Duluth’s Best Bread, and Great Harvest Bread to provide food to people enjoying the race from the brewery.
“With such a crowd coming in town it’s an opportunity for Duluth to be on showcase, so we want to not only promote ourselves, we want to promote the community as a whole,” said Jon Loss, Co-Owner of Black List Ales.
The brewery will also provide special morning cocktails like beer with orange juice, or stouts with a shot of Duluth coffee company cold press coffee.
The Brewery will also be streaming live coverage of the race.
